Established in 1997, we are an off-grid capable, solar mini-farm, located in beautiful Mathews County, VA. Not deep into Mathews, we are only 15-20 minutes from Gloucester Main Street. Practicing all natural methods, we strive to be as self sustaining as possible. Only 5 acres, we are an example of how big things can be done in a small, eco-friendly way. We maintain a flock of around 100 Rhode Island Red Chickens and six Khaki Campbell Ducks, incubating and hatching our own chicks whenever we can. We feed all our birds a Non-GMO, Organic, Soy Free Feed. Check out our pages for Ducks and Chickens...there we list feed details and other information you might find interesting. We sell our Chicken and Duck eggs on the Farm and at Health Trail Natural Food Store in the White Marsh Shopping Center, located in Gloucester, VA. We are a young Herb Farm…growing and selling a large variety of culinary and medicinal herbs. We are currently only selling in pots, but are developing herbal beds that will supply you fresh cut herbs for cooking and teas in 2018. We are working to provide cut flowers, bedding plants, pollinator plants and microgreens soon too. There are Bee Hives on the property and we sell the raw honey when available. Featured in the Barn Store: Baker Creek Heirloom Seed packs, Frontier Co-op Items, Forrest Green Farm Herbal Teas and Young Living Essential Oils & Products. Herbs, Essential Oils, Farm Animals and more...follow our journey through our Blog. We are a small operation, so always check the website for the most current information before visiting us.
