Who we are: We are modern Homesteaders, living self sustaining and simple with our chickens/ducks/veggie gardens/beehives/2 Great Pyrenees/Culinary & Medicinal Herbs/Essential Oils and more! We offer workshops to share knowledge of what we do. We have no Doctors Licenses and no Medical Training. You need to know your situation concerning your medical condition and the meds you are taking. Always be sure to consult with your Doctor before making any major health changes. We are Health Enthusiasts who have been on a "Good Health" Journey the past 30 years. In our sixties, after much research and experimentation...we stay healthy, pain-free, energetic and happy using natural practices. We are Gluten and Dairy Free...and very low sugar. We make our own Kombucha, Water Kefir, ferments and Organic Bone Broth. We eat no GMO's or processed foods. We are constantly taking classes on Staying Healthy, Organic Gardening, Beekeeping and Chicken Care to keep updated. We have been natural beekeepers for over 20 years. Jean took the Master Gardener Class in 1998 and is currently in her 3rd year of Herbalist Training, and plans on taking at least one more year. She has been using Young Living Essential Oils for two years now. We like to share the knowledge we have gathered and hope it will give you the wellness and peace that we have found. Stop by the farm....breathe deep...walk around...catch a workshop. Enjoy!
Visiting, Touring and Shopping: You are welcome to visit and tour the Farm for Free! Pick up Eggs, Herbs, etc. Shopping is always appreciated, but not required! We are never open on Sundays. We are currently closed to the Public for the winter, to reopen in March 2018 (We will still supply egg deliveries to regular customers) and will post the 2018 calendar soon. Jeremy Nardozzi: I've been a percussionist for over 25 years. I love world beats and tribal rhythms. Definition: drumcircle, n a spiritual, communal, or therapeutic music experience in which participants join together in a circle with drums, move and sometimes dance using various percussion instruments, voices, and other devices. These circles are used to reduce stress, anxiety and blood pressure, to increase immune system function, and to create a sense of community. Bring your own drum or there will be some you can borrow. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Directions: GPS doesn't understand us...please use these directions C.A. & Jean Howard 5620 East River Road Foster, Va 23056 (We are actually in the Mobjack area, just past Bohannon, but they closed our little post office years ago, so our post office is Foster now.) GPS seems confused as to where we are…it says turn right onto Robert E. Lee Drive, but our driveway is actually right before and running parallel to Robert E. Lee Drive. Sometimes GPS will take you past us to Mobjack Bay, so keep an eye out for our Farm sign. From Gloucester: Go to Business 17 and turn right on Rt. 14, go into Mathews County. After you pass the North Star Shell, continue on Rt. 14 until you see the Foster Post Office on the left. Turn right there onto Rt. 660, continue on this road for about 3 miles and you will reach another stop sign, make a left onto East River Road. Exactly 3.2 miles down the road you will reach our driveway on the right. You will see our sign, C.A. & J. Farm. Our divided driveway is right before Robert E. Lee Drive, do not turn onto Robert E. Lee Drive From Mathews: get to Rt. 14, turn left onto RT 660 at the Foster P.O., continue on this road for about 3 miles and you will reach another stop sign, make a left onto East River Road. Exactly 3.2 miles down the road you will reach our driveway on the right. You will see our sign, C.A. & J. Farm. Our divided driveway is right before Robert E. Lee Drive, do not turn onto Robert E. Lee Drive. Any problems, give me a call. Jean Howard 804-815-2839
